Ty was born in Port Arthur, Texas on Tuesday, March 16, 1993, to parents Robert Neal Sonnier and Kathleen Mary (Hughes) Sonnier. Ty was a longtime resident of Orange, Texas, as well as a 2011 graduate of LCM High School, where he was known and loved by many. He was a very kind, loving and genuine man who would give the shirt off of his back to help anyone in need. He always had a very vibrant personality that would brighten up a room or turn anyone’s day around and make them smile. He was kind to and loved everyone, even if he had just met you. Sometimes he known to be a bit clumsy while playing sports, as well as in life, but he was always known to be a gentle giant. When it came to his family, Ty was always very protective of them and their wellbeing. He loved his nieces, nephews, sisters, parents and other family very much. His mother, Kathy, was his absolute Best Friend his entire life and always his saving grace. He knew that his mom was always just one phone call away and would willingly drop everything in an instant to go to him if or when he ever needed her. He cherished their relationship and the feeling was mutual. Ty was fearless, to say the very least. He was also a very hard worker. In his personal time, he enjoyed sleeping in, listening to music, doing things on his computer, going fishing and spending time with his dog and companion, Ivy Jo. He always dressed to impress and took much pride in himself and his image. He always tried his very best, no matter what the task was. Ty met a very special woman; Hannah Johnson, whom helped him during his walk of life and for that, he would always love her. “A go-getter, life of the party, kind, loving, handsome, gentleman, gentle giant, protector, unforgettable, funny guy….”, are just a few of the abundance of words that have been used to describe Ty by his many friends, family and classmates.

Ty was a loving son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, brother-in-law, boyfriend and wonderful friend, who will forever be loved and missed by all who knew him.

Ty is preceded in death by his grandparents; Al Worthy “Big Daddy”, as well as, Bill and Mary Ann Hughes.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving parents, Neal and Kathleen Sonnier; sisters, Brittany Cloud and husband Kevin, as well as, Aimee Sonnier and Garrett Davis; grandparents, Robert and Judy “Meme” Sonnier, as well as, Joan Worthy; niece and nephews, Noah Thomas, Dawson King, Tanner Cloud and Makenzi Cloud; aunts and uncles, James and Tara Sonnier and daughter Brooke, Shawn and Devin Wilson, Dusty and Joni Young, Michael and Julie Hughes, as well as a host of family and friends.
