Una Frances Gill

Una Frances Gill, age 73 of Orange, Texas, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at her home. A graveside service to honor Una’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Wealthy Cemetery on Normangee, Texas.

Una was born in Normangee, Texas on October 19, 1946 to Ima Gene Swallow Biddle and Willie Ray Biddle. She had been a resident of Orange, Texas for the past 48 years and a longtime loyal member of Bethel Baptist Church. Una had a wonderful gift of being able to play the piano and was able to share her gift as the church pianist for over 50 years. She worked hard for the Lord to bring as many people to Christ as she could, and she was very successful as a disciple of God.  She had a huge heart and loved everyone. She was kind, and was an example of what a walk with Christ truly is. She worked as a dispatcher for the Vidor and Pinehurst Police Departments in the 70’s. She was the truly the family matriarch and will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie and ImaGene Bidddle and brother Frank Biddle.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Joe Russell, daughter Lisa Russell McCorvy, grandchildren; Cara Dowden and her husband Jason, Keith P. Carter, Jr., and Ashley J. Carter and great grandchildren; Cheyenne B. Dowden, Jaxon W. Dowden, Kyler R. Sarver, Kaileb A. Herrera and Brayden L. Carter.
