Velta Boudreaux

Velta Fern Boudreaux, age 82 of Orange, Texas, passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Memory Gardens in Nederland, Texas with Debbie Collison officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Dorman Funeral Home.

Velta was born in White County, Arkansas on September 8, 1935 to Lydia Garner Whistnat and Willis Whistnat. Velta was an avid reader and loved to crotchet. She enjoyed her trips to the casino with her family and friends. Velta was a loving wife, mother and grandmother that will be missed by many.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Thomas Michael Boudreaux, son Patrick Boudreaux, two grandchildren  Misty Boudreaux and Shelby Boudreaux, daughter-in-law Cindy Boudreaux and her siblings; Buddy Whistnat, Evelyn Sutherfield, Hope Whistnat, Joyce Reeves, Mary Moha, Eva Hicks and Nell Turner.

Those left to cherish Velta's memory are her children; Maxine Green of Orange, TX, Tom Boudreaux of Sulphur, LA, Von Boudreaux of Orange, TX, Steve Boudreaux and his wife Deanna of Orange, TX and Gordon Boudreaux and his wife Roxanne of Orange, TX. Grandchildren; Brandi Campbell, Denice Swindle, Shane Swindle, Latonyia Bergeron, Dustin Boudreaux, Justin Boudreaux  and Mia Boudreaux. Great grandchildren; Jessica Ware, Alton Campbell and CJ Craig. As well as six great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
