Vincent Cantone Obituary

Vincent John Cantone, age 70 of Groves, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 in Humble, Texas. He was surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services, under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home, will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 20, 2022 with Pastor Kenneth Foust officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park. Family and friends will gather for a visitation from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Monday, June 20, 2022 at Dorman Funeral Home.

Vincent was born in Galveston, Texas on February 5, 1952 to parents, Evelyn Spalma Cantone and Anthony Francis Cantone. Vincent was a lifelong resident of Orange County in the Orangefield area, later to reside in Groves, Texas for the past five years. He proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force. Vincent worked most of his life as a painter for the Refineries in SETX. He loved spending quality time with his family, every chance that life allowed. Vincent shared his father’s love of fishing and the peacefulness of boating on the lake. Vincent also enjoyed cruising open roads on his motorcycle blasting his music every chance he got. Vincent’s coworkers describe him as a life-long brother and dear friend. His strong character and daily life lessons encouraged structure, strength, a strong work ethic and genuine love for others to be passed down to those that were closest. Vincent was a family man. He loved his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and his dogs with all his heart.

Vincent married the love of his life, Helda, on March 9, 1974 and the couple shared 46 blissful years of marriage. The two of them complimented each other in every way. Helda loved doing her crafts and he loved to make things for her every chance that he got, such as wooden bookshelves, displays and crosses to help her with her crafting business, “Hilda’s Heavenly Creations”. Vincent absolutely adored his wife and his life’s work was to make sure her and her children were taken care of and happy. She was his “Little Hilda”, and he was her “VJ”.

Vincent was a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, cousin, and friend, who will forever be loved and missed by all who knew him.

Vincent is survived by his children; Robert Harrison Clark, Jr. and spouse Heather of Buna, TX, Jason Dwight Clark and spouse Michelle of Nederland, TX and Amanda Clark Howard and spouse Curtis of Humble, TX, brothers Anthony Cantone and spouse Holly of Tomball, TX and Michael “Mickey” Cantone of Texas City, TX, sisters, Lucille Nichols of Vidor, TX and Rita Ann Cantone of Clearlake, TX, grandchildren, Tyson Clark, Jenny Freeman Garza and spouse Blas, Chris Clark and spouse Angela, Cody Freeman, Shelby Clark and spouse Brittany , Ashlea Clark, Casey Clark, Angela Gracee Freeman-Harrison and spouse Tarri, Korey Clark and spouse Madison, Patsy Freeman, Dillon Clark and spouse Karley, Zach Clark and spouse Tori, Hunter Lisenby, Charity Freeman, Blake Clark, Alison Clark Borel and spouse Austin, Taylor Clark and Tori Clark, as well as 23 great grandchildren and his dog “Lady”.
