William Davis Obituary

William D. Davis, age 44 of Orange, Texas, passed away in boating accident on Monday, April 18, 2022 in Orange, Texas. A memorial service to honor William will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at in Apostolic Tabernacle of China Spring, Texas, with Pastor Steven Daywitt officiating. Dorman Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care and services of William.

William was born on March 22, 1978 in Houston, Texas to parents, Dorthy Little Davis and Johnney Lawrence Davis, Sr. He made his home in Orange, Texas in 2011. He enjoyed spending his time on the water and fishing. William loved his two daughters, family and friends. He always had a kind heart and was always willing to help others. William will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his father Johnney Lawrence Davis, Sr.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Mercedes Davis of San Angelo, TX and Jamari Dionne Childress of Orange, TX, mother Dorthy Davis of China Springs, TX, brothers; Johnney Lawrence Davis, Jr. of Mauriceville, TX, Jeremy Davis and his wife Melody of Moody, TX and Wesley Davis and his wife Shamara of Portsmouth, VA, sister Melissa Davis of China Springs, TX and numerous nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.

The Davis Family would like to acknowledge and thank the Orange Police Department, Orange County Sheriffs Department, South Newton County Sheriff’s Department and the Port Arthur Police Department for their efforts and compassion during this difficult time. They never gave-up.
