Charlotte R. Brumley, 78, of Orange, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas, in Port Arthur, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 2, 2017 at Dorman Funeral Home; Brother Brad Bickham and Brother Damon Bickham of First Baptist Church-Deweyville will be officiating. Rite of Committal and Interment will immediately follow the funeral service at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park in Orange, Texas. Visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the funeral service from 12:00 PM- 2:00 PM on Friday, June 2, 2017, at Dorman Funeral Home.
Charlotte was born on Friday, April 14, 1939, in Orange, Texas, to Frances Clark Brown and Charlie Edgar Brown. She was a lifelong resident of Orange, Texas, and was a Southern Baptist who attended the First Baptist Church in Deweyville, Texas. Charlotte loved her family and enjoyed the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many friends. She also enjoyed traveling to Branson, MO, country and western music, watching the cooking channel, and being with her dog Butch.
Preceding Charlotte in death are her parents, and her loving husband, Julian “J.T.” Brumley.
Those who will cherish her memory most are her sons, Travis Brumley of Orange, Texas, and Lee Brumley and wife Laura of Mauriceville, Texas; sister Linda Brown of Orange, Texas; grandchildren Ashley Bera and husband Jebadiah of San Marcos, Texas, and Dena Brumley; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Zoe, Dax, Tye, and Wes; and many members of extended family.
