Please take comfort in the knowledge that God has made a provision for those lost to us in death.  The Bible says, "this is the will of my Father, that everyone who recognizes the Son and exercise faith in him should have life, and I will resurrect him on the last day,"(John 6:40).  Jesus gives us hope in the fact that one day our dead loved ones will be brought back to life. So while we greive now for those lost in death, the best is yet to come!

Our hearts go out to you, Dot and family. Cousin Herman Myers called us and we hope to make the service in Ratcliff tomorrow. I was telling Herman how when we were in Elementary School in Ratcliff, Bob Earl and Larry were in the same room with us 1st and 2nd graders when they were in the 4th and 5th grades. We were all blessed from Ms. Mazie teaching them, too, and enjoyed being together when we were so young! What a wonderful sweet cousin he was and a fine man with a wonderful family. We were hoping to get down to Ratcliff and see you before now. May our Lord be with you all and know you will be missing him. Love you, Cousin Patsy Ruth

May the McClain Family be comforted by the Lord in this time of grief and sorrow in the lost of a good man and father. I enjoyed many a weekend with Bob Earl during hunting season at the Best Hunting Club. He will definitely be missed. May the Lord bless the McClain family.

My prayers to all of the McClain family. It was a pleasure working for Bob, and having him and Dot as my neighbor. I will always remember our early morning fence side coffee chats, and Bob's many stories. I will also always remember looking into the backyard and seeing our Boxer "Bingo" on his hind legs getting his head rubbed by Bob. You gotta admire a man that is so kind hearted that he is willing to endure Boxer slobber to pet a dog. I will always remember Bob's warmth. He was indeed a pleasure to have known. My heart goes out to all of you McClains. Rest in peace, Bob.

My heart goes out to the family and friends during this difficult time. May you draw a measure of comfort from John 5:28,29 when Jesus said,"Do not marvel at this because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out."

THE MASTER WEAVER

Our lives are but fine weavings,
that God and we prepare,
each life becomes a fabric planned,
and fashioned in His care . . .

We may not always see,
just how the weavings intertwine,
but we must trust the Master’s hand,
and follow His design.

For He can view the pattern,
upon the upper side,
while we must look from underneath,
and trust in Him to guide.

Sometimes a strand of sorrow,
is added to His plan,
and though it’s difficult for us,
we still must understand.

That it’s He who flies the shuttle,
it’s He who knows what’s best,
so we must weave in patience,
and leave to Him the rest . . .

Not till the loom is silent,
and the shuttles cease to fly,
shall God unroll the canvas,
and explain the reason why.

The dark threads are as needed,
in the Weaver’s skillful hand,
as the threads of gold and silver,
in the pattern He has planned.
