Melissa D. McMillon, age 48 of Orange, Texas passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2017 in Orange. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 PM on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Dorman Funeral Home.

Melissa was born in Oceanside, California on December 16, 1968 to Judy Lewis McMillon and William G. McMillon.  She graduated from West Orange Stark High School. Melissa spent a great deal of her time being a volunteer with Orangefield Elementary school. She enjoyed gardening, discussing politics, music and Indian food. Melissa's home was always open to everyone and became the "neighborhood go to house" for all the children.  She will be greatly missed by her family and so many precious friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Steven Nurse, mother Judy McMillon, father Preston Sieber and sister Gabrielle Bass.

Those left to cherish her memories, her dad, Bill McMillon and Teresa of Orange, TX. Two sons; Skye McMillon of Austin, TX and Riley McMillon of Orange, TX. Four brothers; Will McMillon of Orange, TX, Jesse McMillon of Livingston, TX, Sam Sieber and Christine and Paul Sieber of Orange, TX. Brother-in-law Nick Bass of Orange, TX. One sister; Nancy Blanchard and Sergio of Orange, TX.  Melissa leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as a large community of friends.
